About the Role Join Alstom in Hornell, NY as a C - Arc Welder CBS. You will perform welding operations for rail vehicle manufacturing, operate and learn GMAW, GTAW, and resistance spot welders, and ensure high quality welding while adhering to safety and Alstom procedures. What You'll Do
- Perform welding operations for rail vehicle manufacturing across GMAW, GTAW, and Resistance Spot Welders
- Set up welding machines with minimal supervision; adjust as needed
- Read blueprints or work instructions, interpret welding symbols, and set up jigs/fixtures
- Inspect weldments per acceptance criteria and perform dimensional measurements
- Use hand and power tools; perform post weld finishing (graining, passivation, straightening)
- Maintain a safe working environment per Alstom Zero Deviation Procedures and EH&S guidelines
