About the Role The Buyer will manage and execute purchasing activities for large oil & gas EPC projects under the guidance of the Purchasing Coordinator/Head of Purchasing Department. Responsibilities include processing inquiries, conducting economical and contractual negotiations, providing economic evaluations to project teams, flagging potential budget overruns, issuing and amending purchase orders, and expediting vendor acceptance. This role may support project procurement coordinators in resolving commercial issues and requires international purchasing experience. What You'll Do
- Carry out all purchasing activities according to indications/guidelines of purchasing coordinator/Head of Purchasing Department (float of inquiries, negotiations, economic evaluation to project teams, budget mitigation actions).
- Issue purchase orders and amendments; expedite PO acceptance by vendors; monitor supplier performance.
- Support project procurement coordinators during development of supplies in case of commercial problems.
- Engage in international purchasing, including steel structure fabrication, piping bulk, and other oil & gas EPC project purchases.
- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions; coordinate cross-functional teams. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 8 years of relevant purchasing experience in construction of large oil & gas plants / EPC projects.
- Experience in international purchasing and in EPC project procurement.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; attention to detail; strong management and team-oriented capabilities; self-motivated with a results-driven mindset. Nice to Have
- International purchasing experience (explicitly mentioned).
- Experience with steel structure fabrication and piping bulk procurement for oil & gas EPC projects. Compensation & Benefits
