About the Role The Buyer will manage the supplier base and improve purchasing practices to deliver value while ensuring service and quality, negotiating agreements to maximize supplier capabilities and reduce internal costs.
What You'll Do
- Secures quotes through sourcing and negotiations from qualified suppliers to obtain favorable cost terms and services to meet production plans.
- Prepare plans and negotiate long-term agreements and conditions.
- Identify cost-saving and sourcing opportunities through discretion and independent judgment to ensure supplier adherence to cost, on-time delivery, and quality.
- Monitor and evaluate supply chain activities including supplier selection.
- Initiate, evaluate and track supplier cost, quality, and delivery.
- Review logistics to ensure materials timely delivery with proper documentation.
