About the Role
Precision Castparts is seeking a Buyer responsible for managing the supplier base and driving purchasing improvements across all goods purchased. You will research, develop, and enhance purchasing practices, negotiate and propose supplier agreements to deliver value to stakeholders, ensure service and quality, maximize supplier capabilities, and reduce internal costs.
What You'll Do
- Secure quotes through sourcing and negotiations from qualified suppliers of necessary materials to obtain the most favorable cost terms.
- Negotiate and propose agreements/contracts that deliver value to the company's stakeholders while ensuring service and quality and maximizing supplier capabilities and reducing internal costs.
- Manage supplier base and contribute to researching, developing, and improving purchasing practices for all goods purchased.
