About the Role
The Buyer II purchases materials, parts, supplies and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures, and optimizes price, delivery and terms. This role analyzes offers, leads negotiations, and reviews current suppliers to identify pricing opportunities that improve value.
What You'll Do
- Analyze offers and lead negotiations by ensuring competitive prices and purchasing conditions according to company rules and purchasing procedure (60%).
- Run pricing revisions, order cancellations, delivery date revisions, and invoice discrepancies. (25%)
- Execute products and services purchasing according to procedures and instructions. (10%)
- Contact vendors to obtain prices and schedule delivery dates. (5%)
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor or university degree.
- One to two years of experience.
- Familiarity with procurement practices.
- Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred.
- Knowledge in MS Office.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
