About the Role The Buyer for stamping metal parts will lead regional purchasing activities for South America within Volvo's Truck Technology & Industrial division, focusing on stamping metal parts. Based in Curitiba, you will report to the Head of Metal Purchasing and work with local/global counterparts to drive quality, delivery, cost and features. What You'll Do
- Be a key member in the local team of commodity and project buyers; drive activities to deliver best levels in quality, delivery, cost and feature, working locally and globally with counterparts
- Manage sourcing activities during project phase; prepare/send RFI and RFQs; negotiate lead-times
- Perform cost workshops; implement cost reductions; perform technical and commercial negotiations
- Ensure fulfillment of project targets; negotiate and execute agreements with suppliers
