Job Summary
The Buyer is responsible for supporting procurement and sourcing activities to ensure the timely availability of materials, components, and services required for business operations. This role focuses on purchase order management, supplier coordination, inventory support, cost optimization, and supply chain risk mitigation while supporting operational excellence across the Measurement Systems & Solutions business.
In This Role, Your
Responsibilities
Will Be:

Create and process purchase orders for Measurement Systems components.

Obtain quotations from suppliers and support supplier selection activities.
-
Follow up with suppliers to ensure delivery commitments are met.
-
Resolve purchase order, invoice, and supplier-related issues.
-
Support inventory management and material availability requirements.
-
Execute day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
-
Support localization, sourcing, and cost-reduction initiatives.
-
Develop sourcing strategies for key commodities, materials, and services.
-
Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Service Management teams on procurement decisions.

Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Support efforts to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure business continuity.

Maintain accurate procurement records and ERP system transactions.

Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

For This Role, You Will Need
-
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management.

Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
-
Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
-
Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
-
Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management practices.

Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, APICS, ASCM, or SAP Certification.

Experience in manufacturing, project-based, or industrial procurement environments.

Knowledge of sourcing strategies, supplier development, and inventory management.

Experience supporting cost optimization and localization programs.

Understanding of supply chain risk management principles.
