Business Systems Analyst

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to support operational and technology initiatives within a service-focused healthcare environment in Westlake, Ohio. This role partners with stakeholders to examine workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business needs into clear, practical solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with claims and payment processes, along with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a fast-moving team setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze healthcare-related business processes, particularly those tied to claims handling and payment activities, to identify gaps and recommend effective solutions.

• Gather, document, and refine business needs by collaborating with cross-functional teams and converting operational issues into detailed functional requirements.

• Review existing workflows, data usage, and system behavior to support process improvements and strengthen business performance.

• Create and maintain business documentation, reports, and process materials using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Work with database resources and reporting tools to research issues, validate information, and support informed decision-making.

• Participate in Agile-based project activities such as backlog refinement, requirement clarification, and collaboration with delivery teams during development cycles.

• Conduct gap analysis and document review to help ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and user expectations.

• Manage multiple priorities in a results-driven environment while responding effectively to changing business needs.

• Support issue resolution by applying analytical thinking and sound judgment to complex business and system-related challenges.

• At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or a closely related position.

• Minimum 5 years of healthcare industry experience supporting providers, payers, or both, with emphasis on claims and payment processing.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Working knowledge of database environments; experience with Crystal Reports is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to perform business analysis, document review, and gap analysis with a high level of accuracy.

• Familiarity with Agile delivery approaches, including Scrum; related experience is preferred.

• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent practical experience.
