About the Role As part of AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) in the Research and Development aligned technology team, the R&D Global Therapeutic Platforms group builds and deploys scalable AI applications and platforms. The Business System Analyst will be a hands-on contributor who collaborates with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex needs into functional technology requirements and to support the lifecycle of AI-enabled systems. What You'll Do
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements; perform data and process modeling; and support change management initiatives for AI applications.
- Review and route system change requests, develop detailed implementation specifications, and communicate updates to management.
- Coordinate or conduct system testing, support user training and educational materials, and generate reports/analysis from client databases to satisfy user requests and verify outcomes.
- Monitor system performance, ensure accurate documentation, and provide systems expertise; assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation with Purchasing Systems Manager as needed.
- Contribute to the evolution and continuous improvement of AI systems within the organization by applying AI tools to relevant business use cases. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience or Master's Degree in Information Systems or related field.
- Experience in the systems development, implementation, and operations of large-scale, enterprise systems.
- Experience with Artificial Intelligence, Large Language Models, and their capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to lead meetings with customers and technical teams; deliverables-focused and detail-oriented.
- Strong teamwork and customer-focus. Nice to Have
- Experience with mainframe, Lotus Notes, stand-alone applications, and divisional interfaced systems impacting purchasing processes. Compensation & Benefits
