Overview

MCAPS-Core accelerates customer outcomes and business growth. By uniting product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and partners around a common customer mission, we help customers realize value faster and turn innovation into measurable business impact. Through deep technical expertise and differentiated go-to-market execution, we win competitively, capture market share, and scale repeatable growth motions. We differentiate through value creation - delivering world-class, AI-powered customer experiences that accelerate adoption, strengthen loyalty, and create sustainable competitive advantage, driving growth that outpaces the market.

The Windows Consumer Category organization owns the portfolio, category, channel, and ecosystem choices required to win share and grow Windows worldwide. The Performance and Operations team enables that mission by providing one trusted view of performance, running the business rhythm from targets through decisions, and converting insight into actions and investment reallocations that improve share, execution quality, and brand trust across OEM, silicon, retail, and field teams.

Architect and run the Windows Consumer Category business operations - the weekly, monthly, and quarterly beats that align the organization on one trusted storyline and convert insight into crisp decisions, accountable owners, and disciplined follow-through. Lead the Category Manager community and turn field and partner signals into prioritized insights, escalations, and actions that improve execution, trust, and speed.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Produce concise executive pre-reads and post-reads; own the decision and action log and drive disciplined closure.
  • Activate the worldwide Category Manager community through purposeful forums, office hours, shared assets, and peer learning.
  • Capture signals from regions, retailers, OEMs, silicon partners, and sellers and translate them into prioritized themes and escalations.
  • Measure forum effectiveness, decision cycle time, action closure, and community engagement; automate recurring operating workflows.
