Job Title: Business Manager – Logistics & Distribution Services

Job Purpose

The Business Manager – Logistics & Distribution Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, business expansion, operational performance and profitability of the Logistics & Distribution Services Business Unit. The role drives the growth of the logistics business as an independent profit centre while providing integrated logistics and fulfilment support to the Group's service operations. Responsibilities include developing new markets, expanding the customer base, optimizing fleet operations, ensuring service excellence and delivering sustainable financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Commercial Development:

• Develop and execute strategies to expand the logistics business and increase market share.
• Identify, secure and manage logistics contracts with corporate, commercial and institutional clients.
• Develop new logistics products and value-added services to diversify revenue streams.
• Build strategic partnerships that strengthen business growth and competitiveness.

Operations & Service Delivery:

• Oversee fleet operations, dispatch, route planning and last-mile delivery services.
• Coordinate integrated logistics support for the Group's cleaning, facility management and related businesses.
• Ensure efficient utilisation of fleet, personnel and operational resources.
• Monitor service quality, turnaround time and customer satisfaction.

Financial & Asset Management:

• Prepare and manage business plans, budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Drive profitability through effective cost control and operational efficiency.
• Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance, fuel consumption and asset performance.
• Ensure optimal use and protection of company assets.

Leadership & Performance Management:

• Lead, coach and develop logistics personnel to achieve operational excellence.
• Establish performance targets and monitor productivity across the business unit.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, company policies, HSE standards and operational procedures.

• Strengthen risk management, business continuity and quality assurance practices.

• Prepare periodic business performance reports for Executive Management.

• The Business Manager – Logistics & Distribution Services is authorized to manage the day-to-day operations of the business unit, deploy operational and fleet resources, negotiate logistics contracts within delegated authority, approve operational expenditure in line with approved limits, and implement strategies necessary to achieve the business unit's growth, profitability and service delivery objectives.

• Strategic Role

• The Logistics & Distribution Services Business Unit shall operate as a commercial profit centre, providing integrated logistics, fleet management, fulfilment and last-mile delivery solutions to both the Group's operating businesses and external customers. By combining internal operational support with the pursuit of independent commercial opportunities, the Business Unit will maximize fleet utilization, diversify revenue streams, strengthen customer relationships and contribute significantly to the Group's long-term growth and profitability.

N300,000 - N400,000 per month.
