About the Role Amazon's North American Transportation Services (NATS) team is seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer to drive transportation and delivery performance through data-driven insights. You will define and execute dashboards, analyze operational issues, identify root causes, and collaborate cross-functionally to expose gaps and bring products to production across transportation planning and delivery management. What You'll Do
- Provide recommendations on improving customer delivery performance using numerical methods and modeling
- Define and execute reports and dashboards to drive operational excellence
- Identify supply chain gaps and communicate issues to senior management
- Analyze root causes of operational issues and provide actionable recommendations
- Work cross-functionally with data scientists, software engineers, program managers, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to create dashboards and bring products to production across Amazon transportation teams
- Communicate effectively with senior management and colleagues from operations and business backgrounds What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools
- 5+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Advanced SQL and ability to write complex queries from scratch across multiple tables
- Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby
- Experience using SQL to pull data and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
- Demonstrated experience leveraging generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and productivity, with the ability to craft effective prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs in a professional setting Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 99,500 - 160,000 USD annually
