About the Role Abbott is seeking a Business Insights Manager onsite in the Diabetes Care division, based in Alameda, CA. You will lead development and communication of key performance indicators and strategic analyses for stakeholders, collaborating with a data analytics team to turn data into actionable business insights.
What You'll Do
- Work within an agile team to design complex analytics models and algorithms that drive solutions across the organization.
- Develop statistical and machine learning models (classification, regression, clustering, time series) and perform causal inference (Difference-in-Differences, Synthetic Control, geo experiments).
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, build analytics models, and produce repeatable, interpretable analytics data products.
- Communicate complex results to technical and business/executive audiences.
- Create dashboards and automated reporting; monitor and optimize business performance; develop revenue forecasts.
- Ensure data and analysis accuracy and deliverables on multiple projects.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to align objectives and action plans.
- Maintain data warehouse self-service capabilities with SQL and current data platforms.
- Become a subject matter expert for ADC organization and provide data-driven strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Apply co-elevation principles and foster teamwork.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent; 9+ years of related work experience.
- 5+ years experience in commercial or market analytics, preferably in healthcare in market science or business analytics.
- Proficiency in applying machine learning to large-scale data (clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, simulation, optimization).
- Hands-on experience with ML and analytics tools; strong statistical analysis capabilities.
- Excellent communication and ability to translate data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Experience with SQL and data warehousing; ability to build dashboards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a willingness to adopt a co-elevation mindset.
