POSITION OVERVIEW

Butzel is seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Business Development Technology Coordinator to support the systems, content, and processes that power the Firm’s marketing and business development efforts.

This role will maintain the Firm’s website and CRM platform, coordinate awards and recognition submissions, and support polished pitches, proposals, RFP responses, presentations, webinars, and other client-facing initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CRM & Business Development Technology

  • Serve as a key administrator and internal resource for the Firm’s CRM and related business development technology platforms.

  • Maintain CRM data, workflows, fields, reports, dashboards, mailing lists, and other marketing and business development information.

  • Support attorney and team adoption, troubleshoot platform questions, and assist with implementation and testing of new tools.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology, automation, and better processes.

  • Website & Digital Content

  • Manage day-to-day website updates, including attorney biographies, practice and industry pages, news, events, and other digital content.

  • Work with attorneys, Marketing team members, and vendors to keep website information accurate, current, consistent, and functional.

  • Maintain quality control across digital content and assist with troubleshooting or technical enhancements.

  • Awards, Rankings & Recognition

  • Manage the Firm’s awards, rankings, and recognition calendar, including submissions, nominations, attorney information, references, and supporting materials.

  • Draft, edit, organize, and maintain submission content, historical materials, results, and recognition data.

  • Coordinate appropriate promotion and website updates following recognition.

  • Pitches, Proposals & Presentations

  • Assist with client-facing pitches, proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, presentations, and related materials.

  • Coordinate attorney input, gather experience and credentials, tailor content, format materials, and manage deadlines.

  • Maintain reusable proposal content, experience information, and other business development materials.

  • Webinars & Client-Facing Programs

  • Coordinate webinars and virtual client programs, including registration, invitations, presenter materials, technology, and day-of execution.

  • Provide presenter support and coordinate post-program follow-up, including attendee information, evaluations, recordings, and related content.

  • Marketing & Business Development Support

  • Support presentations, reports, client materials, Firm events, strategic initiatives, and other departmental priorities.

  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, vendors, and team members to execute projects accurately and on deadline.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as departmental and Firm needs evolve.

  • Tech-savvy and systems-oriented, with the ability to learn new platforms quickly and improve how technology is used.

  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, with strong project-management skills and the ability to manage recurring processes and competing deadlines.

  • A clear writer and editor, able to turn information from multiple sources into polished, professional content.

  • Ownership-minded and adaptable, with sound judgment, strong follow-through, and a collaborative approach.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in marketing, business development, communications, marketing technology, or a similar professional environment.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional-services organization preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, content management, email marketing, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, editing, organization, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside standard business hours and travel for Firm programs and events.
