Detopsy Engineering Limited is an indigenous Nigerian company established by professionals to improve the quality of Engineering Practice and Procedures by developing and maintaining the physical systems that are necessary for the functioning of modern society through Engineering Designs, Inspection, Procurement, and construction services in the areas of Electrical, Instrumentation, Valves, Tanks, Metering, and Automation to oil and gas as well as marine companies.

Role Overview

• The Business Development Officer will drive growth, identify new business opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and support strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, and can translate market insights into actionable business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across engineering, construction, and related sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and reports.
• Support the development and execution of strategic growth plans.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between business development activities and project delivery.
• Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and industry events.
• Track and report on business development performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in business development, preferably within engineering, construction, or technical industries.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Excellent analytical and research abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business productivity tools.
• Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Abuja’s business landscape is an added advantage.
