About the Role
Join Linde as a Business Development Manager in The Woodlands, TX. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and signing new business opportunities in collaboration with regional sales, leveraging Linde’s technology portfolio to drive growth of industrial gases and equipment across diverse industries.
What You'll Do
- Identify, develop, and sign new business opportunities in collaboration with regional sales, leveraging Linde’s technology portfolio to drive growth in industrial gases and equipment.
- Drive growth of industrial gases and equipment via value-based technical and consultative sales across electronics, steel, glass, combustion, aerospace, automotive, and environmental applications.
- Acquire new customers and expand business with existing customers through prospecting, lead generation, market strategy, business case development, proposal creation, pricing analysis, technical sales support, and project oversight.
- Analyze markets, regional economic activities, competition, industry needs, and product applications to initiate market initiatives and growth campaigns.
- Monitor competitor activity and develop response strategies based on customer insights, internal operations, and Linde’s technology advantages.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential customers, industry consultants, and vendors to support business growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams including sales, research and development, national business development, applications, equipment, and customer service to leverage resources and achieve targets.
- Participate in developing sales strategies alongside business development, key account, and sales personnel to align efforts and maximize results.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or a technical field, and over ten (10) years of overall professional experience.
- At least five (5) years of technical sales experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ work history in relevant industries or the industrial gases sector.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Ability to apply knowledge of industrial gases applications within process industries.
- Strong technical and engineering understanding combined with value-building capabilities.
- Well-developed commercial and business skills to drive growth and customer engagement.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge or experience across electronics, steel, glass, combustion, aerospace, automotive, and environmental applications.
