Business Development Manager

Description

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and converting new business opportunities, developing strategic accounts, expanding dealer/channel networks, and driving sales of 2-wheelers and, particularly, 3-wheelers across the assigned market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities, with a strong focus on 3-wheeler sales.
  • Identify and acquire fleet operators, transport companies, cooperatives, corporate customers and other high-volume users.
  • Build relationships with transport unions, park chairmen, Keke associations, rider groups and other key market stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage dealers, sub-dealers and strategic channel partners.
  • Conduct market mapping to identify new territories, transport clusters and business opportunities.
  • Work closely with Territory Sales Officers and Area Sales Managers to convert qualified leads into sales.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate within approved company guidelines and manage strategic accounts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs and provide actionable market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Development/Sales, preferably within the automotive, motorcycle, tricycle, FMCG, distribution or mobility sector.
  • Mandatory: Proven experience managing and selling 3-wheeler (tricycle/Keke) products.
  • Demonstrable experience in fleet sales, B2B sales, dealer development, institutional sales or transport-sector business development will be an advantage.
  • Strong market knowledge, negotiation, relationship management and business development skills.
  • Ability to develop and convert a sales pipeline and consistently achieve business targets.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
