About the Role The Business Development Manager – Clean Room (Head Office, Pune) will lead and develop the India Clean Room sales channel, overseeing a 3-KAM team and distributor accounts to grow O&M Halyard’s business. This senior role partners with regional/local marketing and country management to promote, develop and maintain the business, and to drive market expansion and execution through SFDC CRM.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage the KAMs team across India (3 KAMs) and the Clean Room channel (distributors) to meet sales and profit objectives.
- Develop a complete business plan for the business vertical, conduct regular business reviews with Country Management, and monitor net sales, volume, and operating profit budgets.
- Drive development of the KAMs and channel strategy; analyze strategic partners and accounts to maximize penetration in the Clean Room market; work with internal stakeholders (Local & APAC Management & KAMs) to capitalize on opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing to decide on the best marketing plans and promotional activities; provide timely volume and sales forecasts to ensure stock availability.
- Oversee commercial management with Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales Operations and Finance: chargebacks, pricing, SPA dissemination, tenders, and terms of supply.
- Build a disciplined execution culture by developing sales capability, managing customer relationships, and leveraging SFDC to manage opportunities and performance.
- Achieve key metrics including net sales, pieces/case volumes, and operating profit; conduct regular business reviews with distributors and KAMs.
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience managing a KAM team and distributor-led sales channels; ability to drive strategic accounts and business reviews.
- Experience in the India Clean Room market or a similar regulated healthcare segment; strong distributor and partner management skills.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM (SFDC) and the ability to drive CRM-based selling processes.
- Strong strategic planning, business planning, and performance management capabilities; track record of achieving sales and profit budgets.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills with Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
Nice to Have
- APAC/regional management experience or experience collaborating with regional teams.
- Prior experience working with distributors in the Clean Room space and knowledge of strategic account management.
