Job title: Business Development Executive - LTL
About the Role JB Hunt is seeking a Business Development Executive - LTL to drive new business in LTL and Managed Logistics with a minimum annual spend of $250K. The role owns the account strategy, builds relationships with decision makers, and coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver solutions. The position requires travel to customer sites and is based in multiple locations across the U.S.
What You'll Do
- Conduct lead generation activities for new and incremental business, including cold calling, networking and other opportunity prospecting methods.
- Meet with customers and prospective customers to discuss viable opportunities, understand their business needs, submit proposals, finalize contracts and win the business.
- Coordinate with internal teams and the customer to implement the solution, including participation in kickoff.
- Manage opportunity health of the account: review Customer KPIs, revenue quality, identify additional opportunities, and ensure adherence to contract and pay terms.
- Visit prospective and existing customers at HQ or other sites as needed; travel to customer sites to meet needs.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience, or 5+ years in sales/marketing or similar; must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record as per JBH standards.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience; knowledge in Accounting/Finance, Transportation Law, HR/Personnel/Risk; ability to negotiate and build contracts; skilled communication; internal resource coordination; ability to develop sales plans; strong client relationships; ability to analyze customer activities and meet targets.

- Knowledge of selling activities and market analysis; comfortable with meeting or exceeding targets.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation: Starting pay will vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications. The role may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes per company plans.
