Job Summary

Our client, a company operating in the logistics and freight forwarding industry, is seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive to generate new business, acquire clients, and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics sales and an established network of potential clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities from importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders, and corporate clients.
• Promote ocean freight, air freight, customs clearing, and haulage services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Develop strategies to increase cargo volumes, sales, and revenue.
• Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and port activities to identify business opportunities.
• Negotiate commercial terms and convert prospects into paying clients.
• Meet weekly and monthly sales targets and submit regular performance reports.
• Conduct field visits to engage prospective clients and develop business relationships.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of proven sales or business development experience specifically in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics.

• An established network of importers, exporters, shippers, or corporate clients is highly desirable.

• Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, meet targets, and deliver results with minimal supervision.

• Must reside in Port Harcourt and be willing to undertake field visits.

• Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly basic salary of ₦120,000–₦200,000, depending on experience.

• Performance-based commission on successfully secured containers, consignments, and freight volumes.
