About the Role

Baker Tilly seeks a senior-level, strategic leader to accelerate growth across the Tax, Assurance, and Consulting practices, focusing on the Asset Management sector within an assigned territory. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities while building and expanding strong client relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Generate and manage a client-facing pipeline; lead or participate in client pursuits including discovery, pursuit strategy, and proposal development.
  • Represent the firm’s full suite of services across the Asset Management ecosystem (investment managers, funds, financial intermediaries).
  • Develop an understanding of fund structures, investment strategies, regulatory frameworks, and the end-to-end investment lifecycle to align services with client needs.
  • Co-develop a sales plan for the assigned territory and report weekly on progress to senior management.
  • Craft clear, concise value propositions tailored for internal alignment and external positioning; deploy sales techniques across lines of service and geographies.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of core service offerings and position them to influence decision-makers.
  • Create, sustain, and grow relationships with new and existing clients; ensure performance standards and client satisfaction, proactively addressing issues.
  • Account Ownership and Strategic Account Management; support deployment of industry-specific systems and lead overall sales strategy.
  • Innovate and grow the Asset Management practice through collaboration, integrated solutions, and market differentiation.
  • Monitor trends in fintech, digital transformation, and data-driven investing to identify new opportunities; maintain CRM compliance.

What We're Looking For

  • Senior-level experience in business development within Asset Management; ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of investment strategies, fund structures, regulatory frameworks, and operational complexities.
  • Proven ability to build and manage client relationships and pipelines; effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication and presentation skills; capable of crafting compelling value propositions.
  • Ability to lead and align efforts across service lines and geographies; comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with emerging financial technologies and digital platforms (e.g., data analytics, automation, AI, blockchain).
