About this role
About Quinncia
Quinncia is a career readiness platform that improves college student outcomes by developing students' resumes and interview skills using AI. We help career services teams scale their offerings so every student gets personalized feedback, embedded directly in the academic curriculum at 200+ partner institutions.
Here's why it matters: 60% of graduates every year are either unemployed or underemployed on graduation day. Our goal is to make sure every student has a job within 90 days of graduation.
The Role
We're hiring a full-time Business Development Associate to open doors at colleges and universities across the country. You'll prospect career center directors, deans, and VPs of Student Success, start real conversations about student outcomes, and book qualified demos for our Partnership Managers.
What You'll Do
- Make high-volume outbound calls to career services leaders, deans, and VPs of Student Success
- Run multi-touch sequences across phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Research institutions and build targeted prospect lists
- Qualify interest and book demos for the Account Manager
- Follow up quickly on inbound leads and information requests
- Keep HubSpot accurate: every call, email, and meeting logged
- Share what you hear from prospects so we can sharpen our messaging
What Success Looks Like
Your core metric is qualified demos booked and held each month. You'll have clear weekly activity and meeting targets, and your commission is tied directly to the meetings you book.
Compensation
- Base salary: $80,000 - On-target earnings: $140,000+
- Benefits: 401(k) and health insurance
Who You Are
- 3+ years of professional work experience, ideally in an SDR, BDR or inside sales
- Comfortable cold calling senior decision-makers and handling objections
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Organized and disciplined with high activity volume and follow-up
- Experience with HubSpot or another CRM
- Self-motivated, coachable, and driven by goals
Bonus points: experience selling into higher education or edtech, or prior work in a university setting such as career services, admissions, or student affairs.
We are NOT looking for contractors or consultants. Please do not reach out offering those services. This position is US-based and in-person in Somerville, NJ.
