Business Development Analyst
Job Summary
A growing private equity firm is seeking a Business Development Analyst to help identify and develop acquisition opportunities for one of its portfolio companies.
This is a business development and deal-sourcing role—not a traditional finance position. You’ll research companies, connect with business owners and intermediaries, build relationships, and identify businesses that may be acquisition opportunities.
What You'll Do

Research and identify potential acquisition targets

Conduct high-volume outbound calls, emails, and follow-up

Build relationships with business owners, founders, brokers, and investment bankers

Qualify potential acquisition opportunities

Maintain and manage your pipeline in the CRM

Document conversations and provide qualified opportunities to the M&A team

Use data and AI-powered tools to improve sourcing efforts

What They're Looking For
-
1+ years of experience in sales, business development, sourcing, or client development

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with business owners and executives

Competitive, persistent, and results-driven

Organized and comfortable working with CRM systems and data

Bachelor’s degree; strong academic performance preferred

Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

Interest in private equity, M&A, and business development

Private equity experience is not required. High-performing sales and business development professionals are encouraged to apply.
