Business Data Technician
Cork, Ireland | Hybrid | Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Leave Cover)

As a Business Data Technician, you will play a key role in researching, analyzing, and validating business information. You will work with large datasets, conduct web-based investigations, identify data quality issues, and support business application processes.

Job Overview
What You'll Be Doing
On a typical day, you may:

Research and analyze information to resolve complex data-related issues.

Conduct web-based investigations to evaluate and validate data accuracy and quality.

Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within large datasets.

Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to support data-driven decision-making.
-
Process and review business applications in accordance with established guidelines.

Perform root cause analysis on identified issues and escalate findings when appropriate.

Participate in software usability testing and provide feedback to improve user experience.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must:

Be legally eligible to work in Ireland.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Be available to work full-time in a hybrid capacity from our Cork office.

Demonstrate strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:

Highly detail-oriented and quality-focused.

Passionate about technology and familiar with Apple ecosystems, including iOS and macOS.

Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing meaningful conclusions from data.

Skilled at identifying trends, patterns, and inconsistencies.

Experienced in conducting online research and evaluating information from multiple sources.

Familiar with web-based mapping tools and location-based applications.

Able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following experience would be advantageous:

Experience using spreadsheets such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Familiarity with databases and data management systems.

Experience working with data analysis and reporting.

Knowledge of web-based mapping platforms.

Experience with social media platforms and online content research.

Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Additional language skills are considered a plus.
