Job title: Business Data Analyst II
About the Role
The Business Data Analyst II will transform operational data into strategic insights to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance service levels. You'll collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders across operations to develop models, dashboards, and reports that guide decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports to support operational and strategic decisions
- Full development of Power BI including data visualization and back-end data model design
- Clean, model, and analyze data using SQL, DAX, and statistical techniques to uncover trends and drive improvements
- Collaborate with site and sector leadership to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
- Assist various functional teams (HR, Finance, etc.) with customized analytical solutions to meet evolving business needs
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights through presentations and reports for internal and customer use
- Ability to leverage data from various systems that support our operations (Warehouse Management System, Timekeeping systems, etc.)
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience
- 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field
- Hands-on experience using SQL or other scripting languages (such as Python or R) to query, clean, and transform data
- Proficiency in Power BI, including building dashboards and reports
- Experience writing DAX expressions to automate and enhance Power BI reports
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and data modeling techniques
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Must be able to work fully onsite if role based out of a warehouse
Nice to Have
- Python or R experience
- Experience with DAX expressions (advanced) and optimizing Power BI models
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management System and timekeeping systems is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 - $90,000 annually (national range; varies by location)
