Job title: Business Consultant/Solution Consultant (Japanese and English Speaking)

About the Role The RELEX APAC team is growing, and we’re now looking for a Business Consultant with business-level proficiency in English and Japanese to join our regional consulting team. This role is based in Tokyo, Japan. You’ll manage software implementation projects across the full project lifecycle in the field of retail supply chain, driving customer value through process design, configuration of RELEX solutions, training delivery, and business case realization.

What You'll Do

• Lead software implementation projects and support customers in designing and optimizing their supply chain and retail planning processes.
• Drive and participate in process development workshops (English and Japanese).
• Be responsible for the Business Specification Design Document and User Stories, backbone structure, process maps, and UI workflow designs.
• Analyze KPIs and customer data to drive decisions and improvements.
• Configure RELEX tools based on customer-specific requirements.
• Deliver training to customer teams and provide ongoing support.
• Ensure business case KPIs are tracked and achieved.
• Manage change management and solution adoption with customer stakeholders.
• Support pre-sales activities such as scoping, value assessments, benefit analysis, and ROI case creation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients by aligning RELEX best practices with the client’s strategic and operational objectives.
• Develop internal knowledge through continuous learning and participation in RELEX product and methodology trainings.
• Occasionally participate in industry events or internal strategic initiatives as needed.
• Onboarding of RELEX partner companies to successfully deliver RELEX projects in the future.

What We're Looking For

• Business-level proficiency in English and Japanese.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, retail operations, or business consulting.
• Experience in retail or wholesale demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain operations, ideally within sectors such as grocery, DIY, pharmacy, or other FMCG environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage projects independently and interact confidently with customer stakeholders.
• Familiarity with how value is generated in the supply chain.
• Experience in conducting workshops, delivering training, and writing customer-facing documentation.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related fields.
• Experience with planning software (e.g., RELEX, Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle RPAS).
• Previous experience working with or for Japanese retail chains.
• Experience in project leadership or mentoring junior consultants.
