Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Analysis Lead to work with a leading Life Insurance customer based in Mumbai. The role will be responsible for leading business analysis activities across insurance transformation, digital enablement, core policy administration, servicing, underwriting, claims, and regulatory change initiatives. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted bridge between business stakeholders, technology teams, product owners, operations, and third party vendors to ensure business needs are clearly understood, documented, prioritized, and translated into high quality technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end to end business analysis activities for life insurance initiatives covering new business, underwriting, policy issuance, policy servicing, claims, surrender, maturity, annuity, and customer service processes.

• Engage with business users, operations, actuarial, compliance, finance, product, IT, and vendor teams to elicit, analyze, and validate business requirements.

• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, requirement walkthroughs, and solution discussions with senior stakeholders.

• Prepare and review BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, functional specifications, data mapping documents, and requirement traceability matrices.

• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for technology teams and support solution design discussions.

• Perform current state and future state process analysis, gap analysis, impact assessment, and process improvement recommendations.

• Lead prioritization of requirements, manage scope changes, and assess impact on cost, timelines, risks, and business outcomes.

• Support Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, story refinement, sprint reviews, and acceptance criteria definition.

• Drive UAT planning, test scenario review, test case validation, defect triage, business sign off, and production readiness activities.

• Coordinate with development, QA, architecture, data, integration, and support teams to ensure solution delivery is aligned with business expectations.

• Provide functional guidance and mentoring to business analysts and ensure consistency in BA practices, documentation quality, and governance standards.

• Support implementation planning, business readiness, training inputs, post production validation, and hypercare support.

• Ensure solutions comply with applicable insurance regulations, internal governance requirements, audit expectations, and customer policies.

• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, issues, and key decisions effectively to business and technology leadership.
