About the Role Centric Software is seeking a Business Consultant to deliver Centric 8 Agile deployment projects for Retail, Apparel & Footwear, FMCG and High-Fashion brands. You will provide technical leadership and collaborate with pre-sales and implementation teams to design, deploy, and support Centric 8 solutions with a focus on PLM and enterprise integration. This role blends consulting, project delivery, and customer care to drive successful deployments across global markets. What You'll Do
- Deliver Centric 8 Agile deployment projects on-time, per schedule, and aligned with technical and business goals (OOTB configurations, business process mapping, and best-practice advocacy).
- Provide technical leadership and support to pre-sales and implementation teams in designing and delivering Centric 8 Solutions focused on Retail, Apparel & Footwear Industry and FMCG and High-Fashion markets.
- Manage deployment projects per Centric's Agile deployment methodology, delivering customer solution models per out-of-the-box Centric 8 (PLM) use cases and configuration points.
- Conduct customer business process analysis, information modeling, mapping to Centric 8 configurations and interface control definitions with related systems; perform data migration from legacy PDM systems; provide customer guidance on process-system alignment, procedures, validation and training, and ongoing care.
- Acquire and disseminate FMCG domain and system integration best practices and share customer scenario details to guide product development, QA, and Customer Support as needed.
- Coordinate with the customer implementation team and Centric teams to ensure a successful and referenceable delivery.
- Analyze customer requirements to propose Centric 8 (OOTB) Solutions; produce models (UML, Centric 8 configurations) to capture business process requirements.
- Deploy, tune, configure, optimize, and install Centric software within the customer IT environment, focusing on enterprise high availability and system integration.
- Map and document the Domain/Data Model to meet customer requirements; identify, delegate, and execute tasks including installation, data migration, deployment training, and support.
- Mentor other consultants during delivery; provide input for future functionality, methodology, and configuration standards.
- Ensure adherence to quality software engineering processes and Agile practices. What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or related technical/consulting discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience with real-world PLM and enterprise system integration deployments.
- Experience in FMCG, Apparel, Footwear, Fashion, F&B, Cosmetics, and Luxury markets; familiarity with industry best practices and change management.
- Experience in PLM technologies and implementation/configuration; proven project management experience; strong customer-facing/consulting and expectation-management skills.
- Availability for overnight travel and for calls at night or mornings with global colleagues; fluent in Japanese and English.
- Technical competencies include UML and enterprise process modeling; J2EE and web standards; Windows; deploying/configuring web applications; XML, CSS, HTML, JavaScript; SQL (Oracle, MSSQL); exposure to ERP integrations; high availability deployments; load balancing and clustering; MS Office (Project, Visio) and scripting languages; core PLM tech including document management, data migration, and security. - Desirable: Specialized skills in system integration, IT tuning, and optimization; real-world programming skills in web-based development, database stored procedures, and XML, preferably within 5 years. Compensation & Benefits
