Business Analyst

About the Role Robert Half is seeking a Business Analyst for our Cambridge, Ontario team to turn data into meaningful insights that guide business decisions. The role partners with finance and cross-functional teams to improve reporting visibility across operations, sales, profitability, and customer trends. It combines technical reporting expertise with strong business understanding to deliver clear, practical analysis. What You'll Do

• Partner with finance and other business teams to deliver reporting and analysis that supports planning, performance monitoring, and decision-making.
• Review current reporting workflows, document how they operate, and contribute to efforts that make processes more consistent and efficient.
• Help define, measure, and refine key performance indicators by building a strong understanding of business priorities and operational drivers.
• Design, update, and optimize dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI to provide clear visibility into business performance.
• Improve recurring reporting activities by identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and streamline data delivery.
• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of data sources and related data integration processes that support reliable reporting outputs.
• Track data integrity across reporting sources, investigate discrepancies, and raise concerns to help maintain accurate and dependable information.
• Maintain reporting databases and analytical environments to support ongoing access, performance, and usability.
• Gather business needs from stakeholders and translate them into practical reporting solutions and analytical deliverables.
• Provide timely support for ad hoc analysis requests and other related responsibilities as needed. What We're Looking For
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Analytics, or another related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a comparable analytics-focused role.
• Hands-on experience creating dashboards and reports with Power BI and similar reporting platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write and adjust queries for reporting and analysis.
• Understanding of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and data modelling principles.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications used for analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in manufacturing or related operational environments would be considered an asset. Nice to Have

• Salary: CAD 70,000 - 90,000 yearly.
