For every child, the right to a Chance

The Public Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Division (PPR) manages UNICEF's engagement with public sector partners — governments, GPPs, IFIs, pooled funds and intergovernmental bodies. Partnerships are built and sustained by people, and much of what PPR knows about each partner is generated through negotiations, Executive Board processes and country- and regional-level engagement across its global network. Under the 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, PPR is to mobilize $17.1 billion in public sector income, diversify its partner base and shape organization-wide direction on public partnerships. Its Stewardship function commits the Division to building and nurturing public partnership capacities and networks; its Insight function commits it to generating insights into partner priorities and trends, bolstered by financial analytics, to inform decision-making. This assignment sits at the intersection of those two functions.

The purpose of this assignment is to provide dedicated coordination and analytical support to connected areas of work that strengthen PPR's partnerships effectiveness and its delivery of the 2026-2029 SP: UNISON adoption and partnership intelligence across PPR teams; functional skills and capability mapping — built from the outset as the evidence base for a knowledge-enabled learning architecture aligned with PFP's Academy model; coordination of PPR's participation in the

Skills

  • Academy as a cross-cone initiative, including the development of PPR trainings; learning and knowledge management; AI and digital transformation; and the Division's strategic change initiatives. The assignment is a direct contribution to the Stewardship function (building and nurturing public partnership capacities and networks) and, through its UNISON adoption and partnership intelligence work, to the Insight function.

  • How can you make a difference?

  • Working under the guidance of the supervisor, the holder keeps these workstreams moving — gathering the evidence, consolidating it, drafting the outputs for clearance, and following up until things are closed out. The assignment does not carry a portfolio of partners or a budget.

  • The role is deliberately cross-cutting. It sits in the Partnerships Finance, Insights & Operations team but works across every PPR section and office, in NYHQ and in the field. Its value lies in connecting workstreams that no single section owns — skills, learning, knowledge, UNISON and change — into one coherent effort to strengthen partnerships effectiveness across the Division, so that each team benefits from what the others know and do.
