About the Role We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Investment Systems team. You will design technology solutions to support investment operations and translate business requirements into technical designs across investment and accounting systems. This role requires deep knowledge of asset class data elements and how they are represented in PAM, Aladdin, Bloomberg, and related systems, with familiarity of cloud data engineering on Azure. What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data synchronization and reconciliation across various asset types; Define synchronization and reconciliation requirements, including scope, schedules, datasets, filters, data elements, and business rules;
- Perform gap analysis to identify missing data elements and inconsistencies in existing solutions;
- Analyze business processes and translate business needs into clear functional requirements and technical specifications;
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proposed solutions meet business and technical objectives;
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for requirements, data mappings, and reconciliation logic; What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst;
- Deep understanding of investment products, portfolios, asset classes and their structures, especially CMLs, RMLs and private securities, their data elements, and their representation in accounting (PAM) and investment (Aladdin, Bloomberg) systems;
- Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, and portfolio management tools, especially PAM and Aladdin;
- Strong understanding of technology stacks used in investment management, operations, and accounting;
- Understanding of investment workflows, processes, and regulatory requirements is desired;
- Familiarity with investment management concepts and financial markets is desired;
- Proficiency in SQL and JSON;
- Good understanding of Python, cloud concepts and services;
- Knowledge of system design principles and best practices;
- Knowledge of security standards and compliance regulations related to financial services preferred;
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools used in investment analysis preferred;
- Good understanding of Agile processes and experience working on Agile teams;
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills to effectively work with diverse stakeholders;
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions, perform gap analysis, navigate projects with high levels of uncertainty; Nice to Have
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially the Azure Data Engineering stack (Data Factory, Databricks, related concepts) and related data engineering tools;
