Job title: Bus/Coach Technician (Specialist Level)
About the Role This is a specialist-level technician role focused on the repair and maintenance of coaches/buses. You will diagnose, repair and service mechanical and electrical systems, and collaborate with Prevost teams to ensure safe, high-quality transportation solutions. You may work independently or in a team with minimal supervision, while developing technical skills on next-gen technologies.
What You'll Do
- Work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Diagnose and repair electrical, HVAC, suspension, pneumatic and/or brake systems
- Complete repairs and maintenance on coaches/buses
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and complete documentation thoroughly and timely according to company requirements
- Assist customers over the phone with technical issues and/or questions as needed
- Act as a professional representative of Prevost and foster teamwork across sectors
- Adhere to company rules, quality and safety standards
- Develop personal professional and technical skills on an ongoing basis
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent or graduation from a certified technical school
- 4 years of qualified mechanical experience; substitution: one year of related technical training for a year of experience
- Possess comprehensive set of tools
- Ability to read and write
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Proficient in electronic media and laptop use
- Proactively acquire and expand knowledge of the latest technology and systems in the industry
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour, bonus eligible
