About the Role The HR Consultant/BU/Plant HR Specialist will partner with the Phoenix plant HR team to foster a positive work environment and support Corning's values across the plant. This role drives effective HR processes, employee engagement, and a respectful, inclusive culture while implementing global HR programs at the site. What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of specific HR initiatives to develop and deliver programs (e.g., training, communications).
  • Identify employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and work with the Plant HR Manager on improvement actions.
  • Partner with leadership to create and execute action plans to enhance engagement, communication, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Establish a visible presence on the plant floor to sense the organizational pulse and address concerns.
  • Manage and mitigate employee concerns by ensuring open forums for discussion and resolution.
  • Resolve employee relations issues fairly and consistently to support plant operations.
  • Coach and counsel plant management in leadership practices to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Use employee feedback to drive continuous improvement in retention and engagement.
  • Lead initiatives that enhance the employee experience across the lifecycle, including onboarding, involvement, and recognition. What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business, Organization Development, or Labor Relations preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist; manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Successful track record deploying global HR processes or programs.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and policies.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, processes, and employment laws/regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in HR documents, records, and data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, handle sensitive situations, and build relationships at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits
