About this role
Job title: Bulletin Board Coordinator
About the Role ConcordTV's Bulletin Board is a free on-air tool that cycles slides submitted by residents, non-profits, and city departments when no program is scheduled. This posting describes how to design and submit slides that fit the system and reach viewers effectively.
What You'll Do
- Design and submit slides sized to 1920×1080 (1080p) or 16:9 aspect ratio; avoid 720×480 and 4:3.
- Use broadcast-safe colors; avoid bright colors that hinder readability or cause text bleed on TV.
- Use large fonts (at least 24 point) to ensure legibility.
- Keep slide text readable within ~7 seconds on screen; split content across multiple slides if needed.
- Respect Title Safe margins; avoid placing important text near slide edges.
- Have colleagues or friends review slides for readability before sending.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to design slides that fit 1080p/16:9, with clear, readable typography.
- Knowledge of broadcast-safe color usage and legible contrast.
- Adherence to title safe margins and concise messaging (no crowding).
- Willingness to avoid promoting commercial for-profit events; content should be non-commercial when submitted.
- Appreciation for quick readability and concise messaging.
Compensation & Benefits
- The Bulletin Board service is free to use; there is no fee for submitting slides.
