About the Role Univar Solutions is seeking a Bulk Tanker Driver to join our Middlesbrough Bulk Tanker Fleet. This role is focused on safe, compliant delivery and collection of goods to customer and supplier sites, ensuring load security, proper procedures, and timely execution. The successful candidate will work as part of our logistics team to support safe operations and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
- Ensure adequate load security at all times.
- Comply with legal and company vehicle segregation rules.
- Ensure tachograph modes are used correctly.
- Ensure the correct HPD/LPD Operations are always observed.
- Check the accuracy of the load before commencement of deliveries.
- Utilise the correct PPE and manual handling equipment.
- Accurately record information regarding delivery and collection on the correct company paperwork.
- Safely deliver/collect goods at customers/supplier’s premises.
- Drive in a safe and appropriate manner at all times.
- Report all accidents, incidents or near misses to the relevant personnel and carry out driver’s daily vehicle checks and report defects via the daily defect report procedure.
- Ensure that notified defects are rectified.
- Assist with the training of new personnel as requested by line management.
- Ensure that the vehicle first aid kit, fire extinguisher and spill kit is maintained & serviceable.
- In the event of any emergency comply with documented emergency procedure relevant to the incident.
- Regularly clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
- Ensure compliance to all quality and responsible care procedures.
- High/low pressure discharge trained and willing to complete high/low pressure deliveries into customer’s tanks.
- Responsible for reporting defective/out of inspection hoses.
- Responsible for tagging and highlighting last duty (Veolia hoses).
- Responsible for raising defects with the compressor/pump system.
What We're Looking For
- High/low pressure discharge trained.
- Willingness to complete high/low pressure deliveries into customer tanks.
- Ability to safely drive and operate within regulatory requirements and company procedures.
- Ability to accurately record delivery and collection information and perform daily vehicle checks.
- Commitment to reporting accidents, defects, and safety incidents and supporting training of new personnel.
- Use of PPE and appropriate manual handling equipment.
