BUILDING SERVICES SUPERVISOR – 2nd Shift will provide leadership, direction and support to a team of facilities technicians in a high-volume fulfillment center. You will oversee maintenance, safety, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring timely product receipt and order fulfillment.
Supervise technicians: prioritize, schedule, and assign preventive maintenance and repair work to ensure safe, reliable operations. Manage safety: ensure technicians are properly trained on all required safety procedures and enforce safety practices. Customer service to Operations: provide timely and courteous maintenance support, and communicate status and issues to Operations management. Resource management: maintain inventories of tools, parts, and supplies; process invoices for payment. Documentation and reporting: ensure daily logs, equipment check sheets, and preventive maintenance documentation are completed; report problems and repairs to shift turnover and upper management as needed. Team development: coach technicians on performance expectations, provide cross-training opportunities, and assess skills; maintain records of skills acquired. Scheduling flexibility: adapt to coverage demands, including periodic overtime and weekend coverage. Collaboration: work with the Building Services team to ensure proper operation of equipment and facilities.
2+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in high-volume operations (distribution or manufacturing). Associate degree or equivalent technical field; bachelor’s degree a plus. Skilled trades license a plus. Proven leadership skills in supervising a dynamic work team. Working knowledge of CMMS and Microsoft Office (Excel and Word required; Access desired). Ability to use CAD is a plus. Union experience preferred. Knowledge across HVAC, electrical, conveyors, PLCs (Allen-Bradley), plumbing, carpentry, fabrication, and related maintenance disciplines. Experience with safety programs and preventive maintenance in a fast-paced environment.
