Budgeting and Reporting Officer at Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE
The role provides accurate, timely staff cost analytics and reports to support budget planning, cost control, and evidence-based workforce decisions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of the annual staff cost budget, including salaries, allowances, and other staff related costs.
- Monitor staff costs against budget, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual workforce cost reports.
- Prepare and analyze monthly HR OPEX reports.
- Provide cost projections and budget inputs for recruitment, promotions, salary reviews, and workforce planning.
- Reconcile payroll related expenses, accruals, and benefit provisions with Finance.
- Develop workforce cost forecasts and scenario analysis to support business planning.
- Ensure compliance with budget policies, financial controls, and reporting requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Key Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree - Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIPM) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in budgeting, financial planning & analysis
Functional Competencies
- Strong financial analysis and budgeting/forecasting skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, Pivot tables)
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
