About the Role Pearson BTEC Trainer will deliver online and face-to-face BTEC Hair & Beauty courses in the UK, with international travel as required. The role is freelance/contract and requires staying up to date with changes in the education sector and collaborating with internal support teams to continually improve professional development offerings.

What You'll Do

• Pre event Preparation: attend in-house briefings provided by Pearson to understand courses and materials; attend meetings with clients to understand their needs; attend training sessions to develop technical skills; practice with resources to be fully confident; complete Pearson’s Global Content Standards Training.
• Delivery: ensure all objectives are met within the training session; present information suited to the customer and environment; use Ed Tech confidently; handle customer queries professionally; manage own time and travel arrangements (Pearson covers travel and expenses); deliver sessions per customer and Pearson guidelines.
• Feedback: complete and submit a summary feedback form for every session; ensure training session delegate feedback is scored consistently.

What We're Looking For

• Experience of teaching a Pearson BTEC International Specification.
• Experience delivering effective training to adult delegates.
• Good understanding of qualification and assessment principles.
• High level subject knowledge to deliver the training.
• Teaching, administration, assessment or management experience in the relevant subject and level.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Confident using a laptop, internet and Microsoft PowerPoint; demonstrable experience of using technology to support training delivery.
• Ability to manage the learning and development of a range of teaching professionals with differing viewpoints.
• Positive attitude towards all forms of feedback.
• Commitment to professional development.
• Represent Pearson appropriately while delivering training under contractual terms and conditions.
• Deliver using materials Pearson has commissioned or provided; ensure delivery aligns with Pearson’s quality standards.
• Sessions delivered in English (verbal and written). Ability to deliver in other languages (beneficial), such as Spanish, Mandarin, Arabic.

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Arabic or other languages is beneficial.
