About the Role The Breast Medical Oncologist will join MedStar Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington, DC, to lead medical oncology care for breast cancer and contribute to clinical trials and translational research. The role offers collaboration with nationally recognized experts and opportunities for academic advancement at Georgetown University Hospital, with an appointment at the associate professor level. What You'll Do
- Oversee care of patients with breast cancer and lead clinical trials to translate Lombardi science into clinical practice
- Mentor junior faculty, medical students, and house staff; contribute to education in an ACGME-accredited fellowship
- Collaborate with NCI consortium partners and other cancer center teams to advance research and patient care
- Foster a multidisciplinary approach and participate in institutional and departmental leadership What We're Looking For
- Medical oncology care for breast cancer; board-certified or equivalent
- Experience developing and directing clinical trials; strong translational research interest
- Academic appointment at associate professor level preferred; track record of mentorship
- Commitment to education and advancing cancer care within a large NCI-designated cancer center Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range USD 20.00 - USD 20.00 per year
- 30 days of PTO, 7 holidays, and 2 personal days
