Job Description

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Commis chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen and takes pride in delivering exceptional food every time. If you love teamwork, creativity, and maintaining high culinary standards, this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing:

• Running your section with confidence, efficiency, and consistency
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to recipe and brand standards
• Supporting smooth service with strong organisation and a sense of urgency
• Monitoring stock, minimising waste, and maintaining cost awareness
• Working collaboratively across kitchen sections to deliver outstanding guest experiences
• Maintaining impeccable food safety, hygiene, and kitchen standards

What we’re looking for: A team player with a genuine passion for food, attention to detail, and the drive to help create memorable dining experiences for every guest.

Qualifications

• •Minimum of 1 year experience in a commercial kitchen environment

• •Experience within an hotel environment is an advantage

• •As with the hospitality industry you will be available to work various rostered shifts

• •Understanding of safety and manual handling requirements

• •Remain calm and effective in high volume work situations

• •Be a good team player; contribute to and assist co-workers without being asked

• •Flexibility to work a rotating rota on mornings and be able to start as early at 4:30 am
