About the Role Wide Eye is assembling a bench of Brand Strategy specialists for future opportunities (freelance, contract, and full-time). The Brand Strategist (Generalist) role centers on translating audience insight into positioning and laying a strong narrative foundation for a project. This bench also encompasses Brand Voice, Research & Insights, Brand Architecture, and Naming to cover end-to-end branding.
What You'll Do
- Move from audience insight to positioning, laying a strong narrative foundation for a project.
- Articulate brand voices, messages and positioning, and develop tone-of-voice guides and messaging architecture that non-writers can actually use.
- Take qualitative and quantitative inputs and synthesize them into actionable insights for the team.
- Understand and design how brands, sub-brands, and programs relate, enabling growth while reducing friction and complexity.
- Find names that stick, balancing creative range with linguistic rigor and the ability to secure legal clearance.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to translate audience insights into positioning and a compelling narrative foundation.
- Experience articulating brand voices, messages, and positioning; proficiency with tone-of-voice guides and messaging architectures.
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into actionable outputs.
- Understanding of Brand Architecture including relationships among brands, sub-brands, and programs.
- Naming capability with a track record of concept-to-name processes and legal clearance considerations.
- Creative range, linguistic rigor, and the know-how to translate concepts into usable language frameworks.
