  • The role should move Vectar from communicating individual milestones to building a sustained global presence, distinctive market authority and recognisable corporate brand.

Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Corporate Positioning:

  • Own and continuously strengthen Vectar’s corporate brand, including the positioning of Vectar, ecoWise, Vectar Power and future products or business lines.
  • Develop and maintain Vectar’s messaging architecture, corporate narrative, value propositions, company descriptions, executive biographies and key external messages.
  • Ensure Vectar is positioned consistently as a credible global climate-market and clean-energy infrastructure company.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines covering visual identity, tone of voice, typography, photography, imagery, presentations and digital communications.
  • Ensure consistency across the website, social media, decks, reports, commercial materials, conference materials, media communications and external-facing documents.
  • Regularly benchmark Vectar’s brand and positioning against leading global companies in climate tech, carbon markets, energy, fintech and environmental markets.
  • Identify areas where Vectar can create and own a distinctive market category or narrative.

Strategic Communications Planning:

  • Develop and manage Vectar’s annual and quarterly communications strategy.
  • Translate corporate, commercial, technical and market priorities into integrated communications campaigns.
  • Build a forward communications calendar covering company milestones, market developments, global events, product announcements, partnerships, reports and thought-leadership opportunities.

  • Develop campaign strategies around major milestones such as certifications, issuances, market entry, portfolio growth, partnerships and transactions.

Digital Communications & Creative Content:

  • Own Vectar’s digital communications strategy across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  • Develop and manage an integrated content calendar.
  • Create or oversee high-quality corporate content including graphics, carousels, videos, animations, explainers, infographics, charts and executive commentary.
  • Build a recognisable and premium visual identity for Vectar’s digital communications.
  • Translate complex technical and market topics into compelling content for buyers, developers, investors, policymakers, partners and industry audiences.
  • Develop a systematic content-repurposing process so webinars, events, reports, milestones and announcements generate multiple pieces of content.
  • Coordinate external designers, photographers, videographers, agencies and other creative partners where required.
  • Build and maintain a structured library of approved imagery, videos, brand assets and presentation templates.

Website, Digital Presence & SEO:

  • Own the ongoing development of Vectar’s website from a communications, positioning and content perspective.
  • Ensure the website clearly communicates Vectar’s proposition, products, market relevance, credibility and progress.
  • Develop and maintain a professional newsroom and media section.
  • Create search-friendly articles, explainers and market resources designed to improve Vectar’s visibility around key areas including carbon markets, distributed solar, climate finance, dMRV, environmental attributes and energy access.
  • Monitor website performance and continuously improve user journeys, messaging and content quality.
  • Ensure major company achievements, partnerships and milestones are properly documented and discoverable online.

Media Relations & Press Office:

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive international media database covering climate, carbon markets, clean energy, finance, technology, sustainability, African business and relevant national and international publications.
  • Segment and prioritise journalists based on subject area, geography, publication and strategic relevance.
  • Develop genuine long-term relationships with journalists through regular engagement, briefings, introductions and useful market insights.
  • Maintain proactive journalist outreach every week.
  • Identify stories, trends and developments where Vectar can provide credible commentary or insight.
  • Pitch Vectar executives for interviews, expert commentary, profiles, contributed articles, podcasts and media features.
  • Develop and manage a forward media calendar.
  • Draft and coordinate press releases, media statements and corporate announcements.
  • Track media coverage, journalist engagement and share of voice.
  • Support leadership during interviews and major media engagements.

Founder & Executive Thought Leadership:

  • Build and manage a distinctive thought leadership platform for the Founder/CEO and other relevant executives.
  • Identify the themes and market conversations Vectar should be known for.
  • Develop LinkedIn articles, opinion pieces, speeches, talking points, interviews, commentary and contributed articles.
  • Position Vectar’s leadership around areas such as distributed energy, climate finance, carbon markets, energy access, dMRV, environmental assets and African energy-transition infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for leadership commentary around major industry developments.
  • Ensure executive communications remain evidence-based, credible and differentiated from generic sustainability content.

  • Work with technical, commercial and programme teams to ensure research and insight outputs are accurate and valuable.

  • Evaluate membership opportunities based on strategic relevance, credibility, market access, relationship potential, thought leadership and commercial value.
  • Recommend priority memberships and ensure Vectar participates actively rather than simply holding memberships.
