Job title: Bolting, Assembly, and Installation Technician
About the Role The Bolting, Assembly, and Installation Technician will perform hands-on bolting, assembly, and installation tasks in accordance with technical drawings and strict safety standards. The role involves using torque and tensioning tools to assemble piping, structural steel, and flange connections, while ensuring proper alignment, torque, and quality control. The position also supports maintenance and rigging activities and requires strong attention to lockout/tag-out and pressure testing safety.
What You'll Do
- Tighten and loosen bolts on flange connections and manways using impact wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches, and tensioners in accordance with ISO drawings and work plans.
- Assemble and secure piping, tubing, fittings, valves, and structural steel components such as beams and columns.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping isometric drawings (ISOs), and structural layouts to ensure accurate installation.
- Install and remove blind flanges for pressure testing while strictly following lockout/tag-out and safety procedures.
- Inspect bolt-ups to verify proper alignment, torque, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Perform minor maintenance, clean and maintain tools, and assist with rigging activities to position heavy components.
- This is not for a current project; we are taking applications for consideration on future roles.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with bolting, assembly, and installation in industrial settings (piping/structural).
- Ability to read blueprints, piping isometrics (ISOs), and structural layouts.
- Experience with torque tools including impact wrenches, hydraulic torque wrenches, and tensioners.
- Knowledge of ISO drawings and work plans, and strict adherence to lockout/tag-out and safety procedures.
- Comfort with maintenance of tools and assisting with rigging of heavy components.
- Safety-conscious and quality-focused with a commitment to project safety standards.
Nice to Have
- Experience in heavy industry or construction environments; familiarity with pressure testing.
- Exposure to projects requiring stringent safety standards.
