Operate and look after the boiler so the mill has steady, safe steam and water for production.
This role keeps steam and treated water available for the feed mill. You operate the boiler, watch pressure and water, carry out routine care, and report anything that is not normal.
What you will do
- Operate and monitor the boiler so steam generation stays steady.
- Grease and oil boiler equipment, and carry out routine preventive care.
- Treat boiler water, including conductivity checks and chemical preparation.
- Remove ash and soot so the boiler keeps performing.
- Watch steam pressure, steam quality, and water availability for production.
- Find and deal with boiler faults quickly, and inspect accessories.
- Keep clear records of operations, maintenance, and water treatment.
- Work safely, and with the production and technical teams.
What you need
- OND in a science-related discipline.
- Mechanical aptitude and safe use of industrial equipment.
- At least two years in boiler operations or a similar industrial utility role.
- A sound grasp of steam systems, troubleshooting, water treatment, and boiler care.
