Job title: Bogie/CAD Industrial Designer
About the Role As a full-time Bogie/CAD Industrial Designer based in St-Bruno, QC, Canada, you will contribute to the development and validation of innovative bogie solutions, creating 3D models and technical specifications, and supporting production and testing activities. You’ll collaborate with engineering, production and testing teams to ensure functionality and seamless integration.
What You'll Do
- Carry out feasibility reviews for bogie and master plans during tender phases
- Perform definition reviews and manage technical objects (e.g., nomenclatures, status)
- Develop 3D models and conduct pre-calculations for sizing
- Write technical specifications and definition plans
- Prepare responses to tender clause-by-clause requirements
- Participate in product testing and ensure quality interfaces
- Support production and testing phases and work with cross-functional teams
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience or understanding of general and technological mechanics (2–3 years preferred)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (welding, machining, design of molded or forged parts)
- Familiarity with material resistance concepts and cost optimization principles
- Strong sense of rigor, autonomy, and respect for deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills, adaptability, and open-mindedness
- Proficiency in French and English; knowledge of a third language is considered an asset
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with our partners, suppliers, colleagues, and international clients
