Job title: Blast Operator
What You'll Do
- Perform 90 Grit and 60 Grit Sand blast by loading and unloading parts in cabinets.
- Perform hand blast on castings.
- Ensure visual acceptance of castings and pass inspection tests.
- Record daily work and correctly distribute time by operational codes; identify by routing card sequence.
- Keep work area clean, orderly, and in a safe condition; follow all safety rules.
- Operate lifting equipment for parts over 35 lbs.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere and collaborate with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
- May perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.
- Location: Mentor, Shift: 2nd (2pm-10pm).
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity; strong sense of urgency with the ability to work independently; comfortable using a team approach to problem solving.
- Experience with blasting operations and operating blasting equipment and cabinets.
- Ability to lift parts in excess of 35 lbs; operate lifting equipment.
- Follow safety rules and maintain a clean and safe work area.
- This position requires compliance with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR); may require U.S. Persons or eligibility to obtain export authorizations.
