About the Role This position is a vital part of the Orthopaedic Institute's administrative team, providing comprehensive support to Arthroplasty faculty members. The successful candidate will enable the faculty to excel in their clinical and academic pursuits by efficiently managing their schedules, travel, and administrative tasks.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Arthroplasty faculty members.
- Efficiently manage faculty schedules, travel, and related administrative tasks.
- Coordinate communications and travel logistics to support clinical and academic activities.
What We're Looking For
- High school graduate and four years of related administrative/executive experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with a proven ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- Demonstrated experience with copy-editing and proofreading, ensuring high-quality written materials.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize, handling a variety of tasks with a high degree of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat, as well as WordPress for HTML.
- Experience working in an academic environment, preferably in a healthcare or medical research setting, is preferred.
- Proven reliability, excellent attendance, and a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Knowledge of UC Accounting practices, purchasing, and reimbursement procedures is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of scientific and medical terminology, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new terminology.
