About the Role Join Cytiva as a Bioprocess Applications Scientist focused on supporting large-scale chromatography for therapeutic biologics. You will provide training, troubleshooting, and technical support to Cytiva customers and internal teams on resins, columns, and systems used from pilot to production scales. This on-site role is based in Marlborough, MA and reports to the North America Resin Modality Leader within the North American Resin Modality team. What You'll Do
- Manage day-to-day operations of Cytiva's large-scale chromatography applications laboratory in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
- Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for chromatography technologies used in large-scale purification of therapeutic biologics (e.g., mAbs, recombinant proteins, nucleic acids, viral vectors).
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, field service, Fast Trak training, Bioprocess R&D, and other parts of the organization to translate technical applications consultation into pre- and post-sales activities that defend and expand Cytiva's market share. What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale cGMP purification of biologics (monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, nucleic acids, and viral vectors).
- Degree in a life sciences discipline with coursework in biochemistry, molecular biology, and analytical methods.
- Strong background in chromatography theory and practice including column packing techniques, resin and membrane technologies, process development, scale-up, and automated systems.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale chromatography equipment; experience with Cytiva’s ÄKTA process systems, chromatography columns (BPG, Chromaflow, Axichrom) and UNICORN software preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team across geographies, departments, and disciplines.
- Travel within North America may be required; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record; ability to lift 50 lbs and move wheeled equipment up to 3000 lbs with assistance; familiarity with laboratory chemical safety compliance. Nice to Have
- Develop and deliver basic and advanced training to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer service, sales, or product support and technical support experience. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
