Job title: Biomedical Technician 3 - Ventilator

About the Role The Biomedical Technician 3 - Ventilator will respond to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and repair complex biomedical equipment and perform planned maintenance. You will drive customer satisfaction through service excellence and may act as a Site Leader, coordinating activities at customer sites. This position requires on-site work at customer locations, with willingness to work in the Richmond and Central Virginia area. A company vehicle is provided for daily travel to statewide customer sites.

What You'll Do

  • Provide on-site hospital support, servicing and managing ventilator equipment during scheduled assignments.
  • Evaluate complex equipment issues, perform repairs, PMs, and safety/environmental inspections, and maintain strong customer relations.
  • Lead and mentor technicians on GE policies, hospital protocols, and documentation; help align to contract scope and business goals.
  • Establish proactive daily communications with customers, ensure issues are resolved, and follow up to maintain satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with teammates, manage local service delivery for all accounts in the area, delegate tasks, and perform administrative duties as needed.
  • Proactively reach out to team members, share best practices, and support on-call coverage; document actions and report per schedule.
  • Ensure proper care of spares, tools, test equipment, calibration, and maintain approved parts inventory.
  • Manage vendor service delivery in compliance with GE policies; stay current on technical standards and safe use of medical equipment.
  • May serve as site leader, directing fellow BMETs at the site and engaging with customer leadership and safety committees.

What We're Looking For

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience servicing medical equipment.
  • Willingness to travel within the Richmond and Central Virginia area and work on-site at customer facilities.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
