Job title: Biochemistry Faculty (Professor)
Liberty University seeks a Biochemistry Faculty member to teach in their area of expertise, contribute to curriculum alignment with the university's mission, and engage in scholarship and service consistent with a biblically informed Christian worldview.
What You'll Do
- Teach biochemistry and maintain integrity of courses and instructional programs in alignment with Liberty's mission and student experience.
- Aid in curriculum development for residential and distance education environments and engage in research/scholarship or creative activity as required by college or school.
- Contribute to an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and to service to students and the discipline; support diverse learning needs and individual dignity.
- Maintain active professional development and pursue scholarly achievements to support potential career advancement to Professor.
What We're Looking For
- An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in a field relevant to teaching, or a terminal professional master's degree, or evidence of outstanding contributions in the field recognized by peers.
- Commitment to teaching excellence and the Liberty University mission, including a Christian worldview in education.
- Potential for progression to the rank of Professor based on scholarly and professional achievements subsequent to attaining the rank of Associate Professor.
- Willingness to teach in residential and distance education settings and to participate in curriculum development and scholarship as assigned by the college or school.
Nice to Have
- Experience with distance education and blended learning formats.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in scholarly activity and collaborate across disciplines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $91,500 - $144,000 per year (USD).
